MORE THAN 2,500 PEOPLE VISITED THE ATYRAU OIL&GAS AND ATYRAUBUILD ANNIVERSARY EXHIBITIONS

THE 20TH ATYRAU OIL&GAS NORTH CASPIAN REGIONAL EXHIBITION AND ATYRAUBUILD NORTH CASPIAN REGIONAL CONSTRUCTION EXHIBITION ENDED IN THE OIL CAPITAL OF KAZAKHSTAN.

For many years Atyrau Oil&Gas has been bringing together oil and gas industry professionals, acting as the main communication platform for representatives of the state sector and major market players, and as a place to find new partnership projects in oil and gas production, in manufacturing oil and gas equipment and infrastructure development. This is an important industry event for the oil and gas industry in Kazakhstan. It presents further directions of development of the oil and gas industry and the construction industry in the region, as well as modern technologies and equipment.

There were 86 companies from Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Germany, Kazakhstan, China, the Netherlands, Russia, UAE, and Turkey exhibiting their own products and official distribution. It should be noted that 58 companies participating in the exhibition were from Kazakhstan, and 18 of them work in Atyrau.

The increasing number of new companies participating in exhibitions indicates the development of exhibition activities in the region. Thus, 34 companies (40% of the total number of participants) presented their products for the first time, most of which have already positively evaluated participation in exhibitions as a necessary investment for their further growth. The representatives of MWM AUSTRIA GmbH made their debut at the exhibition. The three days of the exhibition were quite productive, and the first agreements on cooperation in Kazakhstan were reached, confirmed the participants.

- Yesterday we set up at least ten useful meetings with potential customers. There is a great interest in our products on the part of Kazakhstan’s oil companies. Therefore, it is extremely useful and promising for us to participate in this specialized exhibition. We have great plans for Kazakhstan, in this year and the years to come,” said Herman Teplovodsky, head of the MWM AUSTRIA GmbH Representative Office.

There were representatives of five export-oriented companies from the Perm region of the Russian Federation who also debuted at the exhibition. In the context of the current economic sanctions, the oil and gas and construction exhibitions could not have come at a better time for manufacturers from the neighboring country.

- It’s not just an opportunity for companies to show their export potential, it’s also an opportunity to make new connections. The Kazakhstan market is very interesting for us, as it’s a difficult time, and many companies chose to refocus on exports, and the Kazakhstan market helps a lot in this sense,” said Nadezhda Bychina, a specialist at Perm Expert Center.

Government authorities also emphasize the importance of trade fairs for the expansion of markets and business growth. “These exhibitions provide an access for Kazakhstan companies to new advanced technologies and new equipment in the oil and gas industry. Due to this communication platform, the Atyrau region is a leader in attracting investment to the region. That’s why these exhibitions are very important for our region,” said Karlygash Bekbayeva, acting head of the Department of Industrial and Innovative Development of the Atyrau region.

The organizers of these exhibitions, as well as their participants, are confident that the number of joint ventures between Kazakhstan and CIS and non-CIS countries, which are interested in the Kazakhstan market, will grow every year. 

The participants discussed not only contracts and business, but also industry issues. Now one of the most debated issues for the country is the gas issue. This year’s debutant, QazaqGaz, believes it has achieved some results on participation and discussed solutions to urgent issues.

During the exhibition, the project of an industrial park in the Atyrau region was presented to the audience. A memorandum of cooperation was also signed between TCO and Edil-Oral.kz. The project “Atyrau Industrial Park for the production of equipment, spare parts and consumables in cooperation with the original manufacturers for the needs of the three oil and gas projects Tengiz, Kashagan and Karagachanak” was initiated in this way.

The participants of the exhibition held a series of seminars on current topics of development of the country’s oil and gas sector. In particular, representatives of Tengizchevroil held a seminar on the development of local content and the specifics of the TCO tender process. Experts from North Caspian Operating Company N.V. (NCOC) and Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) shared with participants information on the ways to become a supplier for NCOC and KPO.

“Petrocouncil.kz” arranged the session “Oil and gas industry of Atyrau region: Opportunities and prospects”, during which the speakers talked about the current and prospective projects in Atyrau region. The participants, which included representatives of SMEs, oil service companies, manufacturers, as well as representatives of Russian and CIS countries, were able to learn about the projects and support tools.

Hikvision Kazakhstan held a seminar on “Protection of personnel, property and production processes in the oil and gas industry through the introduction of integrated solutions”.

The management of Perfect Trading Company LLP shared information about Bio-Solv technologies which are sustainable and environmentally friendly products that comply with ESG principles.  Representatives of Testing & Inspection Technology talked about the prospects of introducing modern methods of non-destructive testing with digital radiography and advanced methods of ultrasonic testing (PAs and TOFD) in Kazakhstan. The members of the EnergyInnovation Association of Innovative Enterprises in Power Engineering talked to the participants of the exhibition about modern technologies in power drives for oil and gas production and transportation.

During the exhibition S. Utebayev Atyrau University of Oil and Gas held a seminar on “Experience gained in implementing the Lifelong Education Concept - on-the-job training at the university”. Yuri Zakharov, business partner manager for CIS countries, talked about the possibilities of Macroscop at industrial sites, about neural networks and functional additions in video surveillance.

The Atyrau Oil&Gas and AtyrauBuild exhibitions traditionally have become productive industry platforms and gave all market participants an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the products and services of exhibitors, as well as to discuss topical issues and conclude profitable contracts.
